18 year old medical student, very passionate of playing football, sustained an injury to the left knee joint while at play and heard a “pop” sound and also felt his knee cap get out of position. The knee cap had a tendency to slip out of position due to damage to the MPFL ligaments. Considering the recurrent nature of the condition called Recurrent Dislocation of the Patella, the patient and family were counseled well. He underwent Arthroscopy assisted the reconstruction of the MPFL one year back. By three months he was back football and all impact-loading activities. His success story is worth sharing to all patients with similar problems.
